It is with great sadness that we honour the memory of Dawid Bester who passed away on 1 August 2001. Dawid was the first tracker to receive the Master Tracker Certificate. Tracking involves highly specialised skills and knowledge. Dawid was an expert in his local environment, the West Coast, and with his passing away an immense store of knowledge have been irretrievably lost. More than anything else, he will be remembered for his humility, warmth and sense of humour.
