The Toad NUTS (Noordhoek Unpaid Toad Savers) are an exciting group of volunteers based in Noordhoek, (Cape Town, South Africa), with the sole aim of saving the endangered Western Leopard Toad.

Nature Mapping
The vision of NatureMapping is that citizens of all ages conducting meaningful science for the benefit of their local communities and biodiversity. Their approach is to train individuals to become aware of their natural resources and to provide the tools to inventory and monitor their resources.
NatureMapping BioBlitzes
Bioblitzes are 24-hour species inventories conducted by scientists and the local community. The data gathered by the Central Park BioBlitz 2006 scientists, naturalists, and volunteers has yielded the identification of 479 species to date.
Whale Force
The most powerful way to influence the people and countries who continue to harvest cetaceans is to obtain an unbiased assessment of whale populations using a proven scientifically acceptable methodology and to involve the people of coastal countries in collecting it.
Cascade Citizens Wildlife Monitoring Project
The winter program of the Cascade Citizen Wildlife Monitoring Project uses trained volunteers to record the presence and movement of wildlife, through snow tracking surveys and remote camera instillations, in the vicinity of proposed wildlife crossing structures along Interstate-90 in the Washington Cascades.
Cape Cod Museum of Natural History
The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History was founded on the concept of the Citizen Scientist – individuals that don't necessarily have formal scientific training but are in touch with their natural surroundings. Often they contribute to the body of scientific knowledge through research-related tasks such as observation, measurement, or computation.

A clearinghouse for ideas, news, and resources in support of citizen science partnerships between volunteers and scientists that answer real-world questions.
