NatureMapping BioBlitzes

Bioblitzes are 24-hour species inventories conducted by scientists and the local community. The data gathered by the Central Park BioBlitz 2006 scientists, naturalists, and volunteers has yielded the identification of 479 species to date.
While this is only a fraction of the total number of species of plants and animals whose natural habitat is New York City's Central Park, the data is concrete and thus yields a wealth of pieces of the Park's biological puzzle.
