Where it all started!

The first prototype of the CyberTracker Field Computer was tested by two trackers, Karel Benadie and James Minye, from September 1996 in the Karoo National Park, South Africa. Karel Benadie (photo) was the first tracker to use the CyberTracker and played an integral role in the design of the user interface.

The Kruger National Park, the largest national park in South Africa, is using 125 CyberTracker units to collect more than a million records a year. CyberTracker monitoring plays a crucial role in the Strategic Adaptive Management framework of the Park.

Doñana Biological Station, Spain

The Doñana Monitoring Team of Natural Processes from Doñana Biological Station is co-responsible of the integrated long-term ecological monitoring of Doñana Natural Space since 2002. One of the major achievements has been the widespread use of CyberTracker software for data collection by monitoring staff in the field.
